ABOUT THE ARTIST: Graphic artist, illustrator, poster artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I.Surikov in 1948. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1948. Since 1964, he took an active part in the activities of the studio "New Reality", under the leadership of E. Belutin. Lev Nikolaevich Korchemkin is one of the masters of Russian fine arts, whose work, after decades of oblivion, is now finally receiving a worthy assessment. He was engaged in the design of kindergartens, boarding schools, performed work for art salons, during the war years he worked as a decorator, after the war he made propaganda and film posters.
